Give me a break, the great proculaytor like Beck reading and and being influenced by the Revolutioary hero Thomas Paine………..what next from Beck, some story about him being directly linked by his imagination to not only Thomas Jefferson, but also Ghandi………?
This tome is definitely a book of fiction, and not very creative non-fiction………..
This book reads like a Hitchens’ novella…..and any intelligent person knows the drama Hitches puts in his diatribes, actually believing he is “hyper-intelligent”……
Just ONCE I’d like to see a book published by a far-right storyteller that contains the truth of reality……….
Rating: 5 / 5
I can see why Glenn Beck is promoting this book with a “comedy tour.” About the only way he’ll sell many copies is to pitch it to closed rooms of hundreds at a time… for a few hours on end.
Given that Beck chose to take on the title of “Common Sense,” I was intrigued to see if he could offer something that I’ve never found on his TV shows or in his columns. A better title would have been “Commonly Incensed,” because all Beck offers is the very routine, tired, and seemingly ignorant indignation of a peculiar section of the political right which is happier fictionalizing its own version of reality than living in the actual thing.
If you like simple “us versus them” cheerleading, if you’re a big fan of swatting flies with sledgehammers, and if you commonly miss the finer points of an argument in favor of the “hellz yeah,” then this book is definitely for you.
If you’re looking for serious critique of what is going on in this country right now, do what Back recommends and actually read. Just don’t read this book, because it’s a waste of time.

I found this book to be a complete wast of my time. I’ve watched Glenn on television and this book is SO VERY different from his spoken views that this book reads as though it was ghost-written. Don’t your time and money on this book; read a REAL book like Payne’s original work!

Whether it is riding the coattails and verbally plagerizing other hosts, or having to “update” as something as precious to American history as Thomas Paine’s “Common Sense”, I wish the author would quit appealing to his audience’s lesser instincts and begin to be a responsible voice for ideals he claims not to be a part of (or above the fray from all the others). I am tired of irresponsible people taking the mantle of their own brand of conservatism, telling listeners there is NO difference between the two politcal parties when we are undergoing the political fight of our lives, all the while stealing ideas from others and claiming them as their own. Whether it is some of his fellow talk show hosts, or now Thomas Paine, Glenn Beck should try and be Glenn Beck…no one else.

The description of this flag clearly states that it is a Large 3 foot by 5 foot flag. The flag that I received was 11 inches by 18 inches. Quite a difference! Vista Flags refunded my money right away. I was very satisfied by their response. I am leaving this a one star rating simply to warn others about the size of the flag.

It amazes one to realize the extent to which this silly country is susceptible to such blatant propaganda as spewed forth on a Daily basis by FOX Noise.
These are the days of America’s ultimate doom. When a clueless thought Nazi like Glenn Beck is able to hijack America political conversation, it only proves beyond a wisp of a doubt that America has swallowed the fatal capsule of its own demise.
Seriously, did you ever, in your weirdest, stupidest fantasies think your country would fall as low as it has? It kinda makes you wonder.
Let’s face it, all charges will be dropped, because he is poor white trash. This Tuesday, James O’Keefe was arrested by the FBI, for entering a federal property under false pretenses with the intent to commit a felony and maliciously interfering with a telephone system operated and controlled by the United States of America. They were dressed up as telephone company employees with tool belts and fluorescent jackets. It appears to be a bungled attempt to wiretap the office of Democratic Senator Mary Landrieu, in Louisiana and paid by Andrew Breitbart.
Lots of fantastic info on here I am very happy to have come across it, I would highly recommend it for anyone searching for solutions to their problems.
No family in American history – not the Roosevelt, not the Adams, and certainly not the Bush families – have paid a higher price in the service of the people than did the Kennedys. I’m sick and tired of watching them get kicked around.
It was announced yesterday that Ben Quayle, son of the former vice-president, will be running for congress. We here, at this glorious moment in the history of our great nation, are proud and privileged to bear witness to the birth of the Quayle family political dynasty.
I love that they asked for “Public Defenders”, now they know about the undercover FBI agent. The simpleton Tea baggers keep missing the point. These are the same whiners that were crying when the McCain/Bailin ticket lost. Now they are crying again because their yelling (because they are haters not debaters) did not stop health care from passing. They think they can scare, intimidate and force others to go along with them by comments like “This time we came unarmed”, let me tell you something they are not the only ones that are armed and not all ex-military join the fringe militia crazies who don’t pay taxes and run around with face paint in the parks playing commando, the majority are mature and understand that the world is more complicated and grey then the black and white that these simpleton make it out to be and that my friend is the point. Do not cry when regular people openly laugh at your group when they see on TV that your leaders are Sarah Bailin, Orly Taitz, Victoria Jackson, Michele Bachmann and that turn coat Glenn Beck from the LDS. They do more to discredit you on TV (powerful) than any of my comments do in the blog sphere.
Indeed, the question of the Gulf oil desaster is in reality a majour problem. Your article is worthwhile topic to this bloody oil desaster. One has to watch it in depth. Although I do not fit in with some small points all in all Im fully on your way. I am looking forward to forthcoming development, which eventually brings help and terminates the oil problem.
I did want to correct one thing, however. The pictures in the ad in which Brewer called Cliff Taylor the “sleeping judge” were NOT pictures of Cliff Taylor. It was a hired actor.

Pseudointellectual Glenn Beck has no right to even mention the name Thomas Paine in reference to himself

First flown on a ship in the fall of 1775 as a signal to engage the enemy.
Has since become the standard jack for the oldest commissioned ship still in service; since 2002, all commissioned ships fly it.
